The Owners
Carme y Enric
Carme is an interior designer specializing in comprehensive renovations of unique spaces. The pursuit of functionality through simplicity and the creation of spaces tailored to the client are key to her projects. She has completed projects in Barcelona, Empordà, Cerdanya, Montpellier, La Lòzère, Provence, Luberon, Paris, and the Costa del Sol. Mas Pla de Calabuig is one of her most renowned creations.
Enric, a restless industrial entrepreneur from Barcelona, dedicates his professional career to innovation and leadership in his sector, creating benchmark brands. Passionate about architecture and design, he and Carme found their dream project together with Mas Pla de Calabuig, where they created something unique and singular, combining the best of the hotel industry and vacation rentals for the quiet luxury market.
Both were inspired by a new vision of hospitality, designed to attract a discerning clientele comprised of both leisure and business travelers. The result is the happiness of the customers, who give Mas Pla de Calabuig 5* in their comments and reviews.
The environment
L'empordà - Costa Brava
The Empordà-Costa Brava region, in northeastern Catalonia, combines sea, mountains, and plains in a rich and diverse environment. Its landscapes include the stunning coves of the Costa Brava, natural parks like Cap de Creus, and medieval villages such as Pals and Peratallada. It is a land with a strong historical, cultural (including the influence of Dalí), and gastronomic heritage, famous for its wines, suquet (a traditional fish stew), and anchovies.

Pool House
Pool House is one of the buildings on the property, with an interior design inspired by Moroccan houses, with walls made of desert sand stucco, centuries-old wooden doors and wicker roofs made by local artisans.

The Guest House next to the Main House, with an interior design full of details from local artisans, with noble materials such as wicker on the ceilings, rattan furniture or esparto grass bull heads, gives this house a special charm.

The Garden
In the Empordà-Costa Brava, one of the most beautiful places in the world and known as the "Little Tuscany of Catalonia," we find this wonderful and unique place, Mas Pla de Calabuig.
A 5-hectare estate, delicately landscaped with native Mediterranean plants. It has two entrances, one of them a majestic 100-meter avenue lined with cypress trees and lavender.
Among the buildings, there is a central garden with a heated saltwater pool and a pergola covered in natural shade. The property boasts a carefully curated selection of Mediterranean plants that sway in harmony with the Empordà air. An organic vegetable garden where you can pick seasonal produce, and a chill-out area overlooking the meadow, make Mas Pla de Calabuig a truly magical place.
